I initially tried to follow all the various tutorials mentioned here and on the main Tracks site to install Tracks on Windows, but ran into various problems and it was messy having to have cmd windows open all the time etc. and then i came across this method for running RoR alongside a WAMP installation which is what i use for all my PHP based sites on Windows anyway:

It works a treat, so i thought i’d share it here in case it was of use to anyone else.

And thanks for Tracks bsag, it’s working out great so far… smile

That looks like a neat method. By the way, because Tracks uses Rails and other gems from the /vendor directory, you don’t need to do the step of installing Rails via gems (though you might need the SQLite3 or MySQL gem).

I’ve gotten that part up and running, now what do I do with Tracks? Where do I put it, etc?

How do I get it to boot up with the server, etc?

Thanks,
Ray
