Smells like summer

Filed under: Life As We Know It, — bsag @ 05:05 AM

For the first time this year, cycling back home yesterday, I smelt the summer smell. That indefinable scent of grass and nectar and warm air that means that summer has arrived at last. Of course, since this is Britain, this means that we have perhaps two or three days of summer weather to enjoy before the drizzle sets in again.

The other problem with english summer is the horrible humidity. even quite low temperatures can be unpleasant because of the humidity. I am in colorado at the moment adn we had temperatures as high as 95f, which was bearable (if you didn't do too much). BUt english style humidity would have been a killer. Of course, working in an air conditioned office, haivng an air conditioned car and an air conditioned hotel does help :D
