Two girls, chatting in a sandwich shop:

I don’t feel so guilty when I eat crisps, because they’re like… flat.

Excellent, the thickness-based diet—you can eat as many thin foods as you like. Crisps, crackers, After Eight mints, processed cheese slices and salami can all be eaten ad libitum, but apples, tomatoes and broccoli are right out the window.

I was going to say a homeopathic approach to dieting, only eat thin things to make you thin. However thinking about it more, the homeopathic approach would be to eat fat things, but with the fat reduced to vanishingly small quantities. You know it just might work, I feel a million seller diet book coming on.----- What about sun-dried tomatoes? They're kinda flat. Or what if I slice something into thin pieces, like a chocolate cake-- could it be that most of the calories are in the third dimension of the object, and that's why this diet works?

Thanks for the info--I'll let everyone know you endorsed the Flat Diet. When is your book coming ourt, and will there be a video?

This food theory is of course confirmed by third world countries where the people eat "flat breads" such as naan, chapati and tortillas. By the way do you think I can drink as much flat beer and coke as I want without gaining weight?

Keith: Go for it! It seems as if you can publish any old rubbish as a diet book and make millions. wink

Tony Iovino: Re: slices. Of course—thin slices are fine. In fact, you can eat lard if you slice it thin enough.

    Brian: Hehe grin

John & Gordon: Yes, flat beer and coke is fine, but you should try to drink it through a flattened straw.

    Yan: Hi grin

Are pizzae flat enough to qualify, or does it depend on the toppings?
