My new favourite phrase
There was an excellent quote on Hyperdrive last night, which might well become my favoured expression of mindless enthusiasm: “Set lasers to patriotic”. I like it despite the fact that I’m not in the least patriotic.

I liked that bit too. Perhaps the best joke in the whole episode.
Bit of an odd show that. It's no Red Dwarf, even though that's obviously what it was aiming for. But then Red Dwarf's no Red Dwarf when you go back and watch it again... perhaps it's because I was about 15 back then and now I'm an auld humourless get.
Anyway, I digress. What I was going to say about Hyperdrive was that it's hit and miss. There are good moments, and some fairly painful moments when a joke just bombs, but overall it's... pleasant enough if somewhat innocuous.
British sitcoms, eh? We just seem to have lost the knack. (Assuming we ever had it.)-----
Ant: I also liked the fake dirty talk that Sandstrom used after she was infected by the virus (PoppyMouth2 or PottyMouth2, I wasn't sure)---all uttered with a cheery and slightly creepy smile.
