Moving

It's getting very close to moving day for us, so I'm going to be disconnected (in so many senses) for a few days. There's already broadband set up in our new home, but the owner can't quite remember what the settings are, so I've got some detective work to do before I'm online again.

So it's goodbye Oxford...

[Fanfare]

...hello Birmingham!

Brum eh? Just up the road. smile Very best of luck with the move.----- As I've said before, being a local, I'll miss your musings/ramblings/alternative views of Oxford, but all the best in your move to Birmingham. May it inspire you to new heights of random mumblings.

    Good luck in Brum!

I've just finished four years of ferrying Number One daughter to and from Aston Uni. It's a nice place - regardless of what they all say ;¬)

    Oooh, Brum.

Good luck with it all, and hope the move runs/ran smoothly.

Good luck with the move, there is some nice countryside around Birmingham, with some pretty good rural pubs.

We moved last Monday - total chaos - and still don't have ADSL. By the way, I don't think you'll be able to use the previous owners set-up as your account will need to be moved and your ISP will need to "reprovision" your connection. In our case, despite the fact that the previous owner had ADSL we needed to go through our ISP (plusnet) to get them to re-establish our connection at the new address. Of course, it might be the case that you don't really need to do any of this but you should probably check with your ISP.

Oh, and good luck with the move grin
