Husband soup

Filed under: Random Mumblings, — bsag @ 06:04 PM

(This is one for the Firefly fans—-I got the entire run on DVD for Christmas, and am enjoying the episodes enormously)

I was working at home the other day, and my lovely husband made some wonderful, thick, home-made minestrone soup for lunch. From scratch! With beans and macaroni and loads of vegetables and everything.

I walked into the kitchen and smelt the delicious smells rising from the saucepan, grinned like a cat who has got the cream and said:

Mmm… Husband soup.

From the headline, I thought you'd decided to recycle your husband.....

Incidentaly, where can we see examples of your other halve's (Or is it other half's) art?

I gave up trying to by a Mac Mini - I now see why PC's reign. They offer the option of a DVD re-writer (It takes about 1 hour to get a PC configured to any specification you care to name.) - "That'll be a week Sir", except after a week, it was going to be another week; could I get anyone to answer a phone? After going through more "Press this button" menu trees than on a genealogists chart, I got the morgue extension; it must have been the morgue, because nobody answered after 10 minutes of listening to it ringing. Well that finished it for me, so I went online and cancelled the order. I emailed the Brent Cross store, needless to say I have had no reply.

Dissillusioned of North London.----- I quite like Wife Soup, otherwise known as cunnilingus. By the way I've added you to my blog roll.

I gave Apple a second chance, and on my way home picked up the Mac Mini I'm typing this with. The secret seems to be, don't choose one of their options! For the same price as the extra cost of the optional DVD Writer I can get a USB DVD Writer which I can also use with my PCs.

I took an immediate dislike to Safari and Mail, so I downloaded Firefox - so starts a new adventure in computing.

Mind you, when I tell the wife what it cost, it may well be a new adventure in orbiting!

Delicious! Thanks for the big laugh. Yes, shiny. I've purchased the DVDs of the series and the movie and I've been meaning to treat myself to a weekend watching them. I'm inspired!

Jonathan Briggs: Glad you persisted with the mini---even with a wait, it's worth the wait wink I did wonder whether you'd called it off because you suddenly worried what your better half would say :-D. Have fun with it, but be patient. Some things will work in a different way than you're used to, but that doesn't make it the wrong way.

bitweever and hobbes: Yep, I'm a convert. Still love Farscape, though. See my Firefly - Part One

Jeannine: You're in for a treat!
