p. Forget about "banning drivers from using mobile phones(BBC News - Mobile phone ban comes into effect today)":http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3251828.stm without a hands-free set while driving--listening to "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue(BBC ISIHAC site)":http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/clue.shtml while driving ought to be illegal. I'm not sure if there was more water on the windscreen or in my eyes while "Barry Cryer(Profile of Barry Cryer)":http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clue/article/barry.shtml gave an unbelievable rendition of the Beach Boy's 'Barbara Anne' to the tune of a Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto. A close second was "Graeme Garden's(Profile of Graeme Garden)":http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clue/article/graeme.shtml rendering of the lyrics of 'A Windmill in Old Amsterdam' to the tune of 'Mr. Tambourine Man' by Bob Dylan, which was scarily plausible.
p. ISIHAC is a national treasure which should have listed status. When I'm feeling as low and as stressed as I am at the moment--as if I'm trying to run up a very long 'down' escalator--it's one of the few things that can completely pick me up and make me forget about everything I've got to do. But make sure you practise safe driving--don't laugh and drive!

I actually, in all seriousness, fell off my chair laughing when I listened to ISIHAC earlier on this evening.----- bsag and richard: if possible, i enjoyed it even more than the two of you, thanks to radio 4's 'listen again' feature and a few pints down the pub beforehand. the one-upmanship between graeme garden and jeremy hardy during the last round was fantastic!

I think they're right - Jeremy's been practising his singing. I often worry what will happen when Humph passes on. The world will never be the same.

A classic episode (if that's the right word) the bleeped out version of "The King and I" was hilarious. I'd like to know who had control of the kiddie voice, it obviously wasn't Humph.
