End of term

Filed under: Random Mumblings, — bsag @ 06:51 PM

When I was in school, we used to be allowed to take in board games for the last day of term. Right now, I really wish paid employment followed the same pattern. I’ve got a pile of things to do before I finish for Christmas on Friday, but I’m so exhausted that I’m having tremendous difficulty getting them done.

All I really want to do is play Hungry Hippos or Cluedo with my friends. And while we’re about it, I wouldn’t mind a four week long holiday.

The end of term meant The 6th Form Dance and a chance to indulge in terpsichore with the ethereal Mrs H, breast to breast, thigh to thigh, tripping the light fantastic to the sound of a local 5 piece band hired from Ipswich for the occasion, truly a vertical expression of a horizontal desire. Boards games? Pah!

Happy Winterval (I understand Christmas is banned in Brum) & Happy New Year to you, hubby and the cat, may all your grants be large ones, and may Galleries beat a path to Mr. Bsags door............ I would wish meeces for pussy, but I expect that she too is a vegetarian.

Mr. D.: That's the general idea! In the end, I managed to get my act together long enough to finish some things off, and now I'm on holiday - yay! Happy Christmas to all the Badger family too.

Jonathan Briggs: Sounds like fun! I think you'll find that the 'Winterval' issue is one of those things annually blown out of all proportion by the Daily Mail. I've heard that Council spokespeople sigh very heavily and try to remain civil when they get the annual phone call from Daily Mail journalists asking about 'Winterval'. Christmas is alive and well in Birmingham, complete with many Christmas lights, and a German Christmas market. Anyway, Happy Whatever and Happy New Year to you and yours too!

Yeah, the holidays were stressful but fun for me...after opening up my nephews wii we just sat gaming for 2 weeks straight basically. Last days of school were always fun brining in games...just bonding with people more so than making fun and studying.
