Busy
I’m in the middle of a huge grant application right now, as well as trying to organise the (hopefully!) final stages of our house move which seems to have gone at a tectonic pace. So I’m much busier than I’d like to be, and longing for a time—-about a month and half from now, with any luck—-when it might be all over and I can relax. A bit.
So this post is intended as a big, fat apology for the lack of any interesting content in these parts right now. Normal service will (eventually) be resumed.

Hey fret not, I'm sure home owning will give you plenty to write about. Hope it all goes smoothly.

No need for any apology, it is a pleasure to read whatever you post, thanks for continuing to produce an interesting, and enjoyable blog (hope that isn't too gushing). Anyway good luck with all your vactivities.

You mean relax as in re-decorate the place from top to bottom before it feels like "Yours"............

Hope the move and, of course, complete redecorate goes well.
Keep the interesting posts coming as and when you can.........

Good luck with the application and the move! My husband and I moved last year and we're still unpacking. I'm sure your pace can't be as tectonic as ours.

I read this about the time i felt i should be posting to all my favourite blogs apologizing for not reading them because of my work load. I completely sympathise with you and promise the flip side of your promise ie. "normal reading habits will be resumed as soon as possible". As a landscaper/gardener (who loves his job, well, most of the time) my own personal feelings about home ownership is that I am SO glad that I have an apartment with a balcony which my wife, mostly, takes care of.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. The light is just beginning to glimmer at the end of the tunnel (at least at the end of the grant tunnel---we dive into the house tunnel right after that
).
We're actually only planning to redecorate a couple of rooms at most, because the house is actually quite nicely decorated already. However, things may change when the paint fumes make us think, "Hey, why don't we just do the living room while we've got the tin open?"
