Blizzard
The snow has suddenly started coming down, and has covered everything within a couple of minutes. It is hitting our bedroom window horizontally and coming in, despite the fact that the window is closed. There’s something to be said for UPVC double glazing.

Ah, but did it continue? I've just posted a rant about winter as I'm so sick of only having one or two days of snow a year.

djn1: I know, when I was a lad, we used to regularly make a cresta run in the garden and hurtle down at unimaginable speeds on a tractor tyre encased in bin bags. The snow did stop pretty quickly, but it was the whole snowing-through-a-closed-window thing that impressed me. It did actually snow properly here a few winters ago. I'll have to dig the pictures out...
