Attention all outliner anoraks
Are you an outliner anorak? Have you ever burned to know the history of the disclosure triangle (aka flippy triangle)? If so, then this is the answer to your prayers. It’s deliciously geeky.

Ultrageekitudinous article bsag! As it went on I began to feel the a slight but rising embarrassment, rather as if I had been invited by some over friendly madman to view the 38 albums of his lifetime collection of cigarette butts.
Still an impressively vast and well researched piece of useless information, if not exactly the stuff of dinner party conversation, (unless you are trying to get rid of your guests).----- erm... news flash... i'm in over my head on this one...

"You see, there's a minute difference with this one - the bottom left pixel is approximately a 3% darker shade of grey! I told you!! I told you!!!" ... 'flippy triangle' article author hops from foot to put, feverishly polishing horn-rimmed spectacles on vaguely threadbare shirt, while standing just a little too close for comfort, spittle dribbling unpleasantly down his chin.
What a stunningly comprehensive article, but I'm with ThoughtBadger on this one

ThoughtBadger: It was verging on the somewhat obsessive, eh? But I did enjoy it in a 'revelling in miniscule details' kind of way.
stacy: As djn1 said, it's probably best that way.
djn1: Yes, that bit made me raise a quizzical eyebrow too
. Aww, I feel a bit sorry for him - I bet he's really interesting in person if you stay off the subject of UI widgets. I would still rather read an article like that than a report on 'this season's hottest trends in footwear'. But then I would rather poke my eyes out than read about that, so maybe it isn't a sensible benchmark...
